Monifa Brooks, M.D.

Dr. Monifa Brooks specializes in spinal cord injury medicine and also has extensive experience in general physical medicine and rehabilitation.

She was awarded her medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, and completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, D.C., during which she received several awards. She also received additional training in spinal cord injury medicine through a fellowship at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation.

Dr. Brooks, who is board certified in both physical medicine and rehabilitation and spinal cord injury rehabilitation, has presented at numerous meetings and participated in grand rounds at leading hospitals across the country. Her research interests include osteoporosis and related issues in spinal cord injury patients.

She is a member of American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the New Jersey PM&R Society and the National Medical Association.
